Microsoft Ribbon (Adding comments) To add a comment to something in Word, simply. There is a series of three keys that you need to press to add a comment at the position of cursor in the document. Remember that the New Comment tool is present in the Review tab. C for Comment and R for Review. Press these keys, one after the other, unlike the usual way where you have to press the successive keys by holding the initial key. And also in word processor released three years before this was written (Word for Mac 2011 needs FN + OPT + - too. Generally it seems in none of the versions of the MS Word. Unfortunately lot of people get here (and to other pages) googling shortcuts for MS Word for Mac (I did).
